Film Festival Day 2 — Life in Synchro

Tomorrow, May 23, Theatrical-at-Home in partnership with Film Festival Day presents the documentary Life in Synchro about synchronized skating directed by Angela Pinaglia. It’s a sport I’d never heard of before seeing the documentary a few weeks ago.

The film is a beautiful study in dedication, hard-work, teamwork and life-long commitment to a passion. There are no stars in synchronized skating — only the team — everyone doing their part for the greater good of the whole.

The filmmakers are doing their part to shed light on a sport most haven’t heard of. For years, the skating association has been trying to get it added to the Olympic lineup. So far, it has been denied, but the skaters train as if they are Olympic stars.
